Howard K. Weeley, Sr., CPO USN (Ret.), 89, of North Kingstown, passed away May 16, 2018.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Justine G. (Dion) Weekley.  Born in Sikeston, MO, he was the son of the late Guy R. and Bernice (Jackson) Weekley.

Mr. Weekley was a career serviceman, having served in the US Navy during WWII, Korea and Vietnam.  After retiring from the service, East Greenwich was privileged to have Howard fit their children for shoes at the former Silverman’s Shoe and Clothing Store.  When the store closed, he continued to work at Electric Boat where he finally retired.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Over 65 Golf League at Goddard Park.  He enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, the St Louis Cardinals and NASCAR racing.

He was a devoted husband and adored father, PaPa and G-Pa. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter Claudia L. Hoxsie and her husband Paul; a son Steve C. Weekley and his wife Nancy; a sister Shirley Allen of MO; grandchildren Jillian H. Barker and her husband Joshua and Michael P. Hoxsie and his wife Jessica and great grandchildren Cylus Hoxsie and Caleb and Charlotte Barker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 21st at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Church, School St., North Kingstown.  Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  Visitation prior to the Mass 9:15-10:15am at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation
